Woohoo! It’s time to get started! Welcome to this 30-day quest, during which you’ll create your own cento using fragments of text from Staying Power 2: Writings from a Year of Emergence. You’ll be able to share your cento, if you’d like, at our happy
Hi everybody! I'm Julie and I'm a retired middle school counselor, mom and grandmom. I write poetry and love it as well as reading other people's work. I met Phyllis when she had the website (forget the name) on which she posted beautiful poems to enjoy. Our paths have crossed again and I am happy happy. My retirement life is anything but! I am working on mindfulness and living with gratitude. Can't wait to meet all of you.
Andrea from the Canadian Prairies. Full time IT geek, dog lover, cyclist, meditator. I've been inspired by the centos that Phyllis has shared before. I'm a little nervous about trying this myself. :)
Glad you've joined the quest, Andrea! I think we're all a little nervous when we try something for the first time. Maybe the nervousness is excitement in disguise? YOU CANNOT FAIL.
Hello from the banks of the Mississippi River in Trempealeau, WI. I am a retiree. The Raft is one of my favorite places. Poetry Pick Me Up each Thursday is a highlight of my week.
Hi all! I'm Sue, a manufacturing engineer from beautiful Warren County NJ, and being deeply emotional I use writing as a way to process my feelings about life and its struggles. I've been in a slump getting myself to sit and write since my wife's passing in 2020 and I'm hoping this class will be just the push I need to get my fingers moving again. Looking forward to the quest!
Welcome to the quest, Sue! May the quest nudge you forward, even as you continue to grieve your wife. Believe it or not, but grief is now one of your richest writing tools, if you let it be.
Hi All! It took me a bit to find this on my computer instead of on my phone! I'm an artist - printmaker mostly but do create anything that is possible that my brain thinks up. I also create many artist books and they often revolve around poems, either self composed or from others. I first encountered Phyllis when she sent a poem a day and I have been hovering in her universe ever since - with a few interruptions. I had a difficult 2022 and so I am really looking forward to this Quest to get me back in the groove where I like to be! I'm thrilled to get to be a part of this! Nice to meet all of you!

The website you're referring to is https://www.ayearofbeinghere.com/2013/01/wallace-stevens-snow-man.html. It's still available to browse, if anybody's interested!
I'm so grateful for that website. I visit it regularly!
I love the fact that people (like you) are still using the site!

You do much more than "hover" in my universe, from my POV! You're a blessing. So glad you'll be on the quest!
