“Differences resolved”

We can learn so much from each other, can’t we 🕊

Yes, ma'am. For me, MOST of what I learn is from someone else. (Like you, for instance.)

So short-sighted to reject what is "different". Such a lovely way to see this.

'Tis you, in a nutshell.

Oh my goodness! That photo took my breath away. And the poem reminded once again of the extraordinary capacity of haiku. Thank you!

Gee, I wonder why THAT photo stole your breath . . . 😊❤️🙏🏼

Beautiful! First iceberg of the year spotted a peninsula or two away. A sign of spring here.

Where are you, Deb?

I’m in Change Islands, Newfoundland, Canada.

Ah, yes, I remember now. Thanks for the reminder. So . . . icebergs are part of your spring ritual?

Yes, we are eagerly awaiting them right now. They have started to move south, and there are some visible off the Great Northern Peninsula. There’s a map that is published each week showing locations of icebergs. There are some “close” right now, but “close” means 200 km out to sea. We also await the pack ice, or sea ice as it’s also called. While our shores are clear right now, in a few weeks there will be ice as far as the eye can see. And that brings seals. And potentially, polar bears. That’s the only time of year I feel nervous about being on the shore.

This is fascinating. I'd never thought about ICE MIGRATIONS being seasonal. If you're a poet, there's rich material here, I think . . .

Yes indeed. Many layers for sure. Ice, wind, currents, holding together, breaking apart... the possibilities go on and on.

Small but mighty little haiku! And, wait a minute...aren't we all about 60 - 75% water? Hmmm...
