I take frequent “movement breaks” , combined with stretching, during the day, after sitting for any length of time. Good for the body, good for the mind.

A nice early morning, invigorating, “shake it out” :)

Sitting all day at a computer for work is the WORST!! I do as you do and move as much as I can!

This is great...Dancing really helps lift my spirit and this is a good way to start! I notice you gave a little warning about not overdoing it. Shaking really is very intense for our bodies so start slow and easy or you may get pretty sore if you don't dance regularly...so the solution is to dance regularl..or at least often!!

Yes, dancing is good for the soul! Just a moment or two can change so much!

I remember once taking the cue from my dogs. I wondered how it would feel to just really shake in the morning when I got up. It was great! So, this advice is also very good. I'll be shaking in the kitchen after my next work call....

Thanks for sharing, Phyllis, it feels good to shake it all out, right?!

Ironically, it feels better to shake it out as I get older. I've needed to make friends with my body.

That's a beautiful way to describe it – making friends with your body. I think we can take it for granted when we're younger but ageing makes us more aware. Also, just had a comfort zone-stretching experience so needed to really shake it out afterwards!
