Rafter Digest (published every Saturday) is one of the newsletters of The Raft, the online community of author Phyllis Cole-Dai. We Rafters ride the river of life buoyed by music, poetry, and other arts, along with open spiritual practice. Most everything here is free, but patrons (paid subscribers) get some special perks as a gesture of gratitude.
Due to my mother’s recent passage from this life, this issue is a bit late. Thank you for your patient understanding.—Phyllis

Poetry Pick-Me-Up wasn’t held this week due to my mother’s illness. In my scramble to get on the road to my mother’s bedside, I was unable to make adequate preparations for the group to gather online without me. My regrets, but I know you’ll understand. I look forward to this week’s PPMU, which I’ll host from temporary digs in Maryland.
Next Week’s Events
Poetry Pick-Me-Up (Zoom, Thursday, 12PM Central). A casual weekly gathering for poetry-sharing and discussion. Hop on the Zoom at this link. Bring a poem you like to read to the group. Or, just come to listen to poems offered by other Rafters and to participate as you’re comfortable in our informal but wholehearted conversation. Can’t make it? Watch for the video replay in this newsletter!
