Okay, the image of upholstering a rut had me laughing out loud. We get sooo dedicated to our patterns, we might as well really settle in: upholster our ruts, put curtains on our windows of despair, and festoon our stubborn habits with glittering garlands (hot-glued firmly in place). Or not, of course.
There is soooo much in this that just makes me joyful! The wit of this is so wonderful! But so much speaks to me - what a way to start. Thank you!
On route to disaster
Insist on Canticles!
Whether it's a disaster or not usually presents itself much later than when I am doing something - so the moral of the story is to always insist on canticles!
“You are closer to glory
leaping an abyss
than upholstering a rut.”

Perhaps even write your own!
Perhaps we can be "canticleers"?
Love this! Now we have two "badges" - canticleers and the order of the spatula!
Big grin!
