The Saturday Spark
Tell us: Name one (or more) of your personal gifts that you keep alive by sharing it freely with the world. (This is not bragging but celebration and affirmation!)
Special request!
Would you do me a favor? Would you consider posting a brief review of Poetry of Presence II on Amazon? Currently the anthology has no customer reviews there and only one rating. As you know, reviews really boost a book’s visibility on Amazon and help it gain traction. With your help, the book will take on a life of its own, just as the first volume did. Grateful, grateful!

This week’s feature from my store is Staying Power 2: Writings from a Year of Emergence.
The word “emerge” is hidden within “emergency.”
For good reason.
As people of hope, we lay that hidden word bare and focus our energies upon it. We insist that momentous potential lies as a seed within all periods of turmoil and upheaval. We search out that seed, enrich the soil, and provide what it needs to grow.
Our ability to do this is a hallmark of staying power.
This soulful collection of short musings, stories, and poems will deepen your trust that good can always emerge from trouble.
Remember to enter your Rafter discount (“rafter15”) at checkout to receive 15% off your order.

Einstein Begonias. A peculiar variety created by Einstein. They devour sunlight and water. Grow indoors. Mine have reached 10 feet. And they are prolific and grow easily from cuttings. I've cut and given gifts to a dozen people so far. Beautiful heart-shaped petals!
When someone tells me something that they are struggling with, I try to listen and not use a lot of words in the moment. It usually percolates within in me though and I make a point to follow up with a note or some gesture that symbolizes acknowledgment and maybe a little hope.
