Thank you, Phyllis... just what's needed on another long night sitting the vigil with my mom in transition. This is one of my favorite Jan Richardson poems... perfect tonight, even a bit ahead of the solstice.

I have read this blessing for a few years. Whenever I hear/see/read it, I can feel myself soften and breathe more deeply. I am glad you shared it so I can be ready for the Solstice...will include it in my celebration. I always love the idea, the receiving, of a blessing. It seems to elevate words into something sacred. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you, dear Phyllis. I will keep this in my mind and heart as I prepare to leave for Ecuador in a couple of weeks. I've just retired and plan to be in Ecuador (where my children are) for 3 months. Deep gratitude to you.
