Thank you…this is a favorite of mine. I am trying to hang onto the belief that if I keep pumping love out to all of us who are hurt and broken and looking for connection and peace and harmony, it has to help…yup, I keep singing…
Thank you dear Phyllis. I love these women. Yes, I wish we'd harmonize, but it's near impossible for me to see that at the moment. There may be light at the end of this dark tunnel - and I might even believe that there is - but I don't see it.
As Maine writer E. B. White famously wrote to a man who said he had lost faith in humanity: “Hang on to your hat. Hang on to your hope. And wind the clock, for tomorrow is another day.”
Yes! You were my thought when the minister read her poem. I think you'll love her work. Hope so, we can all use a little more love these days. BTW, Substack spelled Rican Ricardo for me and I just noticed it. Yikes.
Very nice Monday opener. I continue to stay away from the news, but I am aware of what's going on in our world that is so full of paradox, irony and hypocrisy. You can't make this stuff up! I am thankful there are voices out there who choose to share and spread LOVE, including some of my fellow Rafters who've commented before me. Bless you all! I'm keeping the faith while shaking my head at reality...
If we believe in a higher power, a greater source, whatever that might look like; then we might look at life on this earth as a huge ocean. The waves crash in, then out, then back in again, a continual movement in time. And all moves as it was meant to be. And we are blessed, and we are protected and loved; no matter what this crazy world throws at us.

May I suggest that you're not just "hanging onto the belief," but you have become it. Thank you for sending out the song . . .

I know you will keep looking for that light, Peter. Bless you.
I posted this over at the KindSpring (kindspring .org) website this morning….

Contagious! Outrageous!

I just read this somewhere in the past 48 hours. Tick, tick, tick, tick . . . Thank you!
Yes, I too saw it somewhere online this weekend, Phyllis, but can’t recall where either.
As all hell continues to break lose, may the spirit of love prevail!
You are one of the seed-spreaders, Myrtle!
Amen, Myrtle ❤️
Heard this at church yesterday…maybe it will help.
Don’t let despair sink its sharp teeth into the throat with which you sing.
From the Puerto Ricardo poet Aurora Levins Morales
Wow. Thank you, Regina! (I need to look up that poet.)

Yes, let’s keep the faith . . . especially for those who can’t.

Thank you, Frank. Metaphors can be so helpful . . .
