As a conscientious objector in the Vietnam war era, Iโ€™ve learned to honor the warrior in those who served. Iโ€™ve also learned that the warrior archetype can be put into service without wearing a uniform or carrying a gun. I do use weapons, like the mattock I apply to invasive plants.

As a veteran, I plan on having this played at my eventual funeral. Despite being in the military, I find the reasons we fight tend to be economic, not survival. I will also play War Pigs by Black Sabbath; the politicians start the wars,, then send the young to die.

"Politicians hide themselves away

They only started the war

Why should they go out to fight?

They leave that role to the poor, yeah"
