This was especially fascinating. I happen to be in the midst of preparing a sermon where I speak of music arising in us unbidden when we most need it and connecting us to our roots in ways that nurture and give us strength. Think of hymns learned in childhood. I am using it as an illustration of what it means to Abide in Me in the gospel of John. I will be singing a few times during the sermon, which often wakes people up to hearing the gospel in a new way. The PBS Clip is the second time this week I have read something that speaks of the life-giving power of music. Thanks for sharing.
