Brilliant idea!

“The older I get,” she says, “the faster time seems to pass”……so resonates for me

I crochet 🧶…..can’t imagine how I could create images with crochet

Thinking on what I would put in my “visual diary” 🤔

C'mon! You can find a way! (Easy for me to say, since I can't crochet!)

Indeed time passes faster as we age. Beautiful tapestry.

I sometimes write a haiku to mark a day…what if…I wrote one daily and made a paper collage, a “paper quilt” of haiku? Hmmm , now you have me thinking. ( maybe even folded into small books)

There’s an app called Day One. I make an entry everyday...a quote, an haiku, just something that shimmers for me that morning.

Then I attach a photo...sometimes my own or else something that matches the day’s entry.

It has become a habit where if I miss a day, I feel it. 💖

Cool. I love how you twin the verbal shimmerings and the visual!

Love the idea and the finished product, thanks Phyllis. I'm a crocheter so I'm thinking!🤔

There are a lot of Rafter needlers! 🧶

Interesting that I was thinking this morning about the fact that I don't do anything every single day. There are days in a row I write/journal, then days in a row when I do not. Same with the daily meditations I receive via email, including the great content here on the Raft. There are days in a row I read and read - and then days in a row I do not. This does not bother me in the least, but I love to see something like this, where a person makes the daily ritual happen. The only "visual diary" I have are the photos I take on my phone. That is not consistent, either, but happens in moments where I find something interesting I want to capture and remember.

For some people, consistency and constancy is key to a creative life. For others, not so much. The important thing is that we keep exploring what's true for us. (It keeps changing!)

Indeed, change IS my constant!

The Photo Gallery on my phone is somewhat of a visual diary. Today I took screenshots of a Bible verse (to send to three friends who are experiencing issues related to jobs) and one question from an online Bible quiz (I only answer the first one and responded incorrectly.). I took pictures of all the information on a contact I was going to delete (suddenly my texts to that number were transmitting as emails the recipient couldn’t open) and an article about a new ice cream vendor I wanted to share with O, Miami

This is beautiful! Creating something every day is a gift and I try to do the same...not always easy in these times.
