Such a perfect poem for this time of year even as we shudder at the forecast for another late season snow in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire.

We saw bits of leaves on some brambly plant on our hike Saturday. Nothing on trees yet but just this shrub that dotted the woods.

I feel so seen by this poem! I look at our emerging plants every day and look with hope for signs if budding on the newly planted trees. And yes, the robins are bathing and looking for worms and it's such a joyous time of year!

The anarchy of mud... love that line, and loved hiking in woods of upstate NY yesterday with my grownup kids, a marvel of a "grandpuppy" and all of us mud splattered and grinning after our tromp.
