Oooh… Let’s put that one up on the wall! ❤️ And then identify when we’re truly being caring and when some part of us has an exchange in mind. Oh those pesky Why’s!
Regarding number five: I was talking to my sister yesterday, and a question from me had prompted her to look through her old photos before she responded. She thanked me for the question, and then told me that it provided “a trip down memory lane.“ And then she said, “And that’s my favorite place to walk these days.” I loved that.
13 resonates with me personally as a cancer survivor, but they are all things I really support...I love to give compliments and I certainly had to learn to say Thank you when receiving one😅
Oooh . . . two more than really resonate with me. (And good luck with those closets! I read once—possess nothing that is not either beautiful or useful . . . what d'ya think?)
"possess nothing that is not either beautiful or useful" — a great ideal, and in line with Marie Kondo's keep what gives you joy. Except: reality. In dealing with the closets, I'm also learning not to be too hard on myself — or to expect myself to be perfect :-)
I have learned that I have earned my wrinkles— as have all of us. So much so that I wrote a song about it. As we age we need to affirm our beauty as we are— all the lines and scars, for they tell the stories of our lives.
I would also add - for someone to show hospitality someone has to be willing to receive it and sometimes that’s me. “ That is very humbling to practice.
I have learned, and so have others, that sometimes it's best to end relationships, especially if they're abusive or with narcissists.
Amen.
This is very true and a necessary part of self-care! A very valuable and often hard learned lesson.
I am learning that it's not selfish to both put my needs first and to take care of myself.
True self-care is also other-care.

Many resonate for me…. 5 & 11 amongst them
I might simply add ❤️ Be kind to yourself & others ❤️

Makes me smile.

Learning to say THAT kind of "thank you" has taken me lots of practice.
Me too... practice makes perfect 😉
#14 is where I am most days and wher I strive to be every day.
I would add to the list: "The fastest way to get to where you want to be is to first be still and know."
Ah. Getting in touch with your true spot!
What a great list! I would add:
*I am learning to slow down and listen to others.*
Also, as I go through another round of clearing out my closets:
*I am learning to honor and let go of my past selves.*

I’d love to see/hear your song!
Thanks so much Deb! I don't have a video with it, but here's the link on YouTube. Have a great day! https://youtu.be/SPivhtRY40c?si=WgzU4rVWQ3_Hi7FQ
So fun! 🤩
Thanks Deb!
WONDERFUL!
thanks Phyllis!
2.b - I’ve wanted to tell this to my congregations, “there is only one Savior and his name is not Eunice. “
I'm glad you let me know you're not my savior, Eunice! 🤪

Yes.
Anonymous or the manifestation of mutually focused minds? 🤔😁
Hmmmm . . ..
