The song and video made me think about all the kids who aren’t allowed to be kids. Not only in Gaza, Israel, and the Ukraine where fear takes away their childhood but also down the street where kids are bullied at the local school and at home. Those that even here don’t have enough food. The list can go on; these are the ones that struck me today. Kids should be allowed to laugh and dance and play knowing there are adults to support them and protect them as they grow up
My first reaction, just reading the poem/lyrics, was sadness. Poor Michael Jackson! But the music is almost an antithesis to the words -- full of joy and engagement and hope. And the children's voices are inspirational.

One Voice Children:
“Our mission is to inspire the world through the power of children's voices.
Our vision is a world where children lead out in creating a kind and understanding community for all
through genuine, purposeful, and heart-felt communication.
The youth around us are the leaders of tomorrow and One Voice Children
invites the world to start listening to their voices today.”
I love watching their faces almost as much as listening to their voices!

You're so right! In this case, much lies in the performance!
