I don't normally leave a comment. But this story and this poem were told by two beautiful souls and they touched my heart. I am awake and not comfortable and decided to go through my emails and came upon this. Thank you, Phyllis. There is love and kindness in this world. Blessings to you!
I'm sharing a message today at my Unity Church about "The Assurance of Grace," an assurance I've leaned on heavily this week with my dad in the hospital. I love to close my messages with a poem, and you've gracefully shared just what I needed. On every level! Thank you Phillys, Jack and Gloria. ❤️
Thank you Gloria! Your poem and by extension, the metaphor you've adeptly created in this poem is particularly timely for me. For six weeks my husband and I have been fostering a beautiful but hard to place dog, an affectionate three year old gentle giant I named Ru/Karuna (compassion) and we have just decided to adopt him. All he needed was what every human needs, someone to love him, someone to love. ❤️
Both of these beautiful pieces bright tears to my eyes and made my lips curl into a hopeful smile, on a day when the earth feels scorched and dry, these quench my thirst for something more. Many thanks! ❤️❤️
There's no way to fill these comments with enough heart emojis! My heartstrings were tugged, my tear ducts still work. So grateful to be afloat on this raft with Jack, Gloria and Phyllis!!!

Yes, there is love and kindness. To experience. To be. I’m glad this email found you amidst your discomfort. May you have what you need. Always.

Amen!
No wonder that you, Gloria and Jack found each other and allow the rest of us to learn...and be delighted.

Perhaps they’re a little like your own music . . .
I hope that my mother sic has that effect! ❤️
I don't know about your "mother sic" having that effect, but I can certainly vouch for your music!
Ha! I hate autocorrect! But thanks for your voucher! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Both the story and the poem are beautiful! They lifted me up today. Thank you!
(Full of smiles.) You’re welcome.

My goodness, Phyllis...all I can say is THANK YOU for both of these offerings. You have annointed us with oil.
Well, you know about all this, up close and personal! It was good to hear from Jack about your doings! Big hugs!
