Rafter Digest (published every Saturday) is one of the newsletters of The Raft, the online community of author Phyllis Cole-Dai. We Rafters ride the river of life buoyed by music, poetry, and other arts along with open spiritual practice. Most everything here is free, but patrons (paid subscribers) get some special perks because Phyllis is extra grateful for their support. Sign up here:
This week’s big announcements
☀️ First-ever pop-up “Open Studio” was held on Friday!
Open Studio is a new opportunity on The Raft—an occasional Zoom space for wide-open conversation between you and me. It will always pop up as a last-minute surprise.
During Open Studio, you can ask me almost anything—about my family, my work, my off-hours, my spiritual life . . . I don’t promise to have answers, but I’ll try.
You can also tell me what’s important to you. Or you can just show up to say “hi” and listen.
This first Open Studio was open to all Rafters, and it was a blast. But from now on, it will be a gratitude gathering for patrons (paid subscribers).
Not a patron yet? That’s okay. I’m still very glad that you’re here. And you can still be in touch with me via your comments and emails.

Or, just come to listen to poems offered by other Rafters and to participate as you’re comfortable in our informal but wholehearted conversation. Can’t make it? Watch for the video replay in this newsletter!
