Possibly to the death of my husband of over 40 years, but definitely the move out of my home to a retirement community - a move that was the right thing to do - I'm 86 and lived far from neighbors - and I like where I am living. Still, it was a major change.
I am beginning, VERY slowly, to pick up the artwork, mostly at requests from friends
Huge changes, Miki! And they rippled throughout your being and life. I rejoice that you're picking up the artwork again—that you have friends who are drawing it out of you, and that you're listening to the nudges. May it continue to be so.
Changes caused by aging….a time and a season for things….I try to hold gratitude, instead of sadness, for those past joys I no longer have the energy for.
For a few years I have been nearly unable to do the calligraphic artwork I've long loved.
I don't know why this is so, and it saddens me, because beautifully lettered. words, whatever
the message, go much deeper. than the same words on the printed page.
Is your "dormancy" traceable to a particular moment in your life?

I hear you.
What a gift you are, Phyllis, to this hurting world. Thank you for YOU.
Oh, thank you, Susan. Let's keep on, together, shall we?
Painting, drawing, writing poems about my now. 🙏❤️
I hope your "now" is all you need it to be. Sure miss seeing you!
Miss you too, Phyllis. I I hope to be back in the fall. Thank you for all your connecting. I value it all greatly, greatly.
Hugs!
