I learned that every moment counts. Skipping moments to get to other moments wastes precious time. Enjoy them all. Every one.

Quite a few years back I was in a relationship with someone who turned out to have 13 felony indictments for fraud and identity theft. He stole my identity and racked up a bit of debt in my name. Fortunately I was not responsible for the fraudulent debt. However the betrayal was acute and I was depressed for a couple of years afterwards. I learned not to be desperate for the approval and love of others. I had not previously sought validation within myself, but found an inordinant strength when I surrendered to spirit. I was able to forgive this person for his actions although I obviously no longer had any relationship with him.

The lessons learned helped me a few years later when I met the man who is now my husband of 15 years.
