Tell us: When you sense that you have inwardly “arrived” somewhere significant, what’s one word that describes how you feel?
Have you signed up yet for the 30-Day Cento Quest? Read all about it here!

What’s up with The Singing Stick?
The Singing Stick is my novel-in-progress about Simon, an eighty-year-old former professor who suffers from dementia, and the clarinet that helps anchor him in the strange world he inhabits. That clarinet, inherited from his mother, has its own story. Where will it lead?
A number of you have been asking how my work on the novel is coming along. (Smile.) I’m slow as the proverbial turtle. That’s what happens when you decide to undertake three books at the same time, in different genres, while also publishing The Raft. But I’m a very happy turtle.
Thanks for your kind interest. I’m happy to say that the novel is in the skillful hands of my editor. It’s slated for release this fall. Stay tuned.
