Thank you. I’m attending a protest today. Resist! https://www.resistandunsubscribe.com/

I appreciate your protesting, your resistance, and your sharing of this link. When I consulted it, I realized how much I’m enabling terror. Must give serious thought to how my family and I can make necessary changes.

Thank you, Phyllis. This succinct rendering of the Declaration of Independence gets right to the heart of the myriad lawless and unjust acts of this administration. I really loved the post script about names. I'd never thought of that. Thank you. Oh, and I will take you up on your encouraging challenge.

Bless you, LuAnne. And best wishes for your creative efforts.

It is with a heavy heart that I read this and realize that this is what we have come round to. It is true and authentic. It is what we must carry. It is what I would sign my name to. Thanks Phyllis, we are not alone.

Love your poem! It is punchier in its brevity. I have been musing about fifth grade U.S. History. The road to the revolution. Particularly, the Coercive Acts or the Intolerable Acts. Hearing and seeing eerie echos in the U. S. today.

Phyllis Cole-Dai's avatar

Thank you for musing on all this. So many “eerie echoes” from the past (and that would be an understatement!)!

Yes, Agree with "mourning" our democracy on July 4, 2026 rather than to celebrate it, if it is still not the democracy of our founding. A sad but splendid idea, America, it's time to De-ICE111
