If you don’t subscribe to , you’re really missing something. Like this beautiful entry.
BONUS DIG: Here on The Raft, a Dig is a creative writing prompt (you could tweak it for other creative media too). You never know when a Dig is going to pop up.
Today, let’s follow the lead of Roderick MacIver at Heron Dance. See how Rod borrowed a line from Emerson (“under every deep a lower deep opens”) and used it to start a journal entry of his own?
I encourage you to do the same. Find words from a poem, a quotation, a song lyric—anything—and use them as the opening of a written text of your own. Remember to “make from your true spot.”
If you’d like, share your creation in the comments.

Under every deep
A calmer place waits
Just inside the next breath
I did subscribe years ago, Phyllis….it was truly a wonder. Thought they folded.
