Dutch artists Niels van Swaemen and Kaspar van Leek are the duo Studio Giftig. Last May, as part of the “Hit the North” street art festival in Belfast, Ireland, they painted this stunning mural on an old linen mill. It’s titled Belfast Spring.
Jessica Stewart at My Modern Met reports that the pair took their inspiration from the mill’s history. They painted a female figure surrounded by flax flowers, since linen is made from flax. Flax also happens to be a flower of rebirth—and “Hit the North” was conceived more than a decade ago as a way to renew Belfast through art.
You can read a bit more and see a couple photos of the artists in action at this link.

Absolutely stunning. My thoughts about it are internal changing visual bursts, empty of words.
The wonder of this mural. Wondrous to see. I thank thee, dear Phyllis, for this sunbeam streaming into view, this Tuesday morning 💕🌀💕
