When you hurt someone, you feel pain
When you heal someone, you feel safe
When you lie to someone, you feel sick inside
When you’re kind to someone, you feel alive
It’s more than pride
It’s more than pride

Somewhere in your heart, you know it’s true
All these other people, they are you

When you laugh at someone, you know their shame
When you hold someone, you’re less afraid
When you love someone, the whole world shines
When you lose someone, you die
Every time you cry
You ask god why

Somewhere in your heart, you know it’s true
All these other people, they are you

I don’t know the way
But I won’t turn away
And It feels strange
It’s hard to change

When you ask someone what it’s like
When you hear someone, you realize
You’ve been blind all this time
