“Taking Me Higher” is from the soundtrack to a new film called Sweetwater, scenes from which appear in this music video. The movie depicts the story of NBA Hall of Famer, Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, who made history as the first African American to sign an NBA contract and changed how the game of basketball is played.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but the song certainly takes me higher. How about you?
TAKING ME HIGHER Keb' Mo' Ain't nothing wrong with having a dream Ain't nothing right do you know what I mean It's a brand new day with a message to learn And I may not have very much time to burn But all I know and all I see Is calling me and it's taking me higher, higher All I do is call on you to take me higher Higher then I've ever been before There's winners and losers one in the same We are only human caught in the game Searching for something on solid ground For somebody somewhere who will never lеt you down But all I know and all I see Is calling me and it's taken me highеr, higher All I do is call on you to take me higher Higher then I've ever been before Every day is the first day of my life it's all right Gonna get out of my own way I'm stepping into the light Stepping into the light All I know and all I see is calling me and it's taken me higher, higher All I do is call on you to take me higher Higher then I've ever been before All I know and all I see Taken me higher, higher then I've ever been before
(My thanks to Keb’ Mo’.)

Woke to this beauty. It got my husband and me dancing in our kitchen--even before coffee! It’s 13 days before our daughter’s wedding. A perfect song! Big gratitude! Back to the song-- and another dance
Thanks again. I put it on my playlist!
