When George Winston passed last month, I grieved his loss as someone who has always appreciated his solo piano music. But I’ve since learned that he was a gifted guitarist, too.
Enjoy his performance on the slack-key guitar of his original composition “Early One Morning.” At the end, you’ll notice how he lets the peace ripple endlessly out and out and out . . .
(My thanks to the late George Winston.)

AFTER I watched the tape of George Winston, I watched a tape of easy steps to make a paper crane. Both these tapes were on You Tube.
Oh, I love George Winston too. He came to Madison a number of years ago (many years ago) and gave his concert, solo piano, and he took his shoes off and played in his wooly socks. Everyone loved it. I have a few of the CDs and you’ve jogged my memory enough so I’lll look them up.
