The clown sat speechless Looking in his mirror Unable to remember How to paint his face Staring at the image Slowly getting clearer Wondering if his fear or his heart Would win the race There's a storm in you You don't know what to do Just when you think you're going insane You lie naked in the rain, yeah Fluttering pages of faces No two alike Choice is your soul's moment For its light to strike (My thanks to Chris Tile and the late David Crosby, via Live from Here.)
The Gentle Nudge
No Rafter groups for the next two weeks, as I’ll be out of studio. Stay well!
I love the idea about the heart and fear racing. I might have to add lying naked in the rain to my bucket list. But where to go? I'd have to be August. I'm just joking around, the imagery is enough. It's a beautiful musical poem.
