I love hosting you on The Raft. But, to be honest, I haven’t loved doling out membership perks based on how much you’re willing to pay.
I want to know you as a companion, not as a customer.
The other day, I finally asked myself, “Who’s in charge here?”
My “true spot” raised its hand with a smile. And it suggested I make a big change.
From now on, almost everything on The Raft is free to everybody!
By “free,” I don’t mean “without value.” I mean “with value not measured in money.”
I’ve now removed nearly all paywalls so that you can access the full Raft archive. Exception: Certain event replays remain restricted due to my arrangements with the guest presenters.
Some future events will still require payment. Our wonderful guest presenters must eat, after all! But you’ll always be able to use your handy-dandy Rafter discount code (rafter15) for 15% off the fee. (Please jot down this code and save it for future reference.)
If you ever need a heftier boost, just ask me for a scholarship.
Think of The Raft as a program on public broadcasting . . .
