This week’s Raft video replays
Next week on The Raft . . .
Poetry Pick-Me-Up (Zoom, Thursday, 12-1PM Central). A casual weekly gathering for poetry-sharing and discussion. Hop on the Zoom at this link.
Bring a published poem that has recently struck you to read to the group. Or, just come to listen to poems offered by other Rafters and to participate in informal but wholehearted conversation. Can’t make it? Watch for the video replay in this newsletter.
My serial audio reading of Staying Power 2: Writings from a Year of Emergence continues each Friday for all paying subscribers. Upgrade to get this and other modest perks, plus the joy of helping to keep most content on The Raft free for everybody! Note: If you’re a past donor to my work, email me and I’ll set you up with a complimentary one-year subscription!
Know somebody who could use a Secret Peace Package?
Each Secret Peace Package includes your choice of one of my books, a pouch of soothing lavender buds, several sachets of premium "self-care" tea, and a "Deep Peace" mug. All on me! I randomly select one recipient per week from the pool of nominees. Submit a name!
Introduce yourself to other Rafters in a “Rafter Snap”!
One Sunday a month, I present a “Rafter Snap” in my Staying Power newsletter. Each Snap features a Rafter so that we can all get better acquainted and be inspired by one another. Here’s an example, spotlighting Marianne Murphy Zarzana.
I invite you to introduce yourself to other Rafters by submitting your own “Snap.” I’ll share the submissions in the order I receive them.
Are you rafting on the mobile app yet? I’ll soon be starting some “Raft chats” on the app. You’ll be able to upload poems, photographs, and other fun stuff to the chat threads. Get ready!
Grateful, grateful!
My heartfelt thanks to these folks for their recent gifts in support of The Raft: Carroll Jones, Theodore Ludicke, Julie Roehm, Tom Shostak, and these unnamed Rafters identified by fragments of their email addresses—cbemmels, farfalle, sandy, and wavewaltz.
Whew! That's all for now. Stay well. Stay witty. Stay tuned into your true spot and create from your radiant, beautiful self.
I like to disappear in nature. Take a walk or hike. Or just sit outside in silence. To resist the urge to speak or turn off the Zoom camera takes conscious effort. Just being a listener is a good way for me to disappear, I’ve recently discovered.
