Here’s what you need to know:

• All Rafters are welcome at this celebration!

• Attend for free, via Zoom.

• We’ll hear from Rafters who have been composing centos since January 28, using fragments of text from my latest book, Staying Power 2: Writings from a Year of Emergence.

• If you wrote a cento based on Staying Power 2, please come and read. If you’d like, be prepared to share the text of your poem on the Zoom screen. (Don’t know how? Tell me in the comments and I’ll take care of you!)

• Can’t make it? Watch for the replay.

Remember, a cento is a literary work, usually a poem, created exclusively from lines or phrases lifted from the work(s) of another author (or authors). You assemble the excerpts in whatever order you wish, thereby bringing to life a rich, new text.
